Joining at Sixth Form
Find out about Sixth Form entry at Prior’s Field. Fifth Form students and their family are invited to the school’s Sixth Form Open Evening in the Autumn Term prior to entry the following September.
During the evening, families are introduced to key members of staff, including the Head of Sixth Form and The Head of Huxley house. There is also the opportunity for students to meet and talk to Heads of Department and subject teachers about your preferred A Level options. Parents and students are also welcome to attend one of our whole school Open Events or request an individual tour of the school and meeting with the Head.
For entry to Sixth Form our requirement is a minimum of 6 GCSE’s Grad 5 or above with a Grade 7-9 in the subjects chosen for A Level or a near equivalent.
Sixth Form scholarships take place in November and places are offered in December for the following September. Academic, Creative Arts, Drama, Music and Sport scholarships are offered at 16+.
A written reference and predicted (I)GCSE grades are then requested from the applicant’s current school and an offer may be made based on these.
